For Sale By Owner - A Fool For A Client?
    by Steven Husak

It never fails to amaze me how everybody else's job looks so easy!

Everybody can do everybody else's job better than the professional doing the job.

Everybody could manage a major league baseball team better than the current manager. I managed the Philippines International Travel Squad...believe me...you can't!

Think you'd be a better CEO of the company you work for? OK...quit your job and go start your own business and let's see!

Everybody can decorate their home better than a professional, right? I mean, after all that's why all of the magazines feature homes and offices designed by their occupants! NOT! Sure, walk through that furniture showroom and just refuse to speak to the professional design associate. It is your home, you're entitled to screw it up and wonder why it never looks like the model home you loved so much!

Why not try brain surgery at home?

Well...surely anybody can sell their home at least as well as a professional Realtor...right? Until the entire deal falls apart at the closing table or the seller gets screwed out of their home...or a buyer gets stuck with an unwanted tenant! All this after having a parade of idiots that aren't qualified to get a mortgage to purchase the home have marched through, maybe even stealing some of your possessions...or something even worse!

Sure...anybody can do it. Reminds me of the old saying about somebody representing themselves as their own lawyer has a fool for a client!

Maybe it should be more generalized to say,"anybody that acts in place of a professional on their own behalf has a fool for a client!"

Steven is a sought after speaker, having been the keynote speaker for conventions and annual general meetings for organizations such as the Society of Interior Designers and the Physiotherapists Association on topics such as effective use of space vs. efficient use of space and ergonomics. He has been awarded numerous industry awards for customer focus and sales volume.

He is also sought after as a consultant by such financial powerhouses as Palmyra Capital, Friess Associates, McKinsey & Company, Franklin Resources, Soundpost Partners, Eminence Capital, Greenlight Capital, TowerBrook Capital Partners, AEA Investors & MSD Capital.
